Counselling for individuals and couples

When life is getting on top of you, it can be hard to know where to turn. You may feel like you have no options. You may feel like you have too many options, and are paralysed with indecision.

Maybe you’ve tried talking to the people around you. Maybe you have no one to talk to. Maybe you can’t bring yourself to add to other people’s worries.

You may feel isolated, overwhelmed, numb to it all.

Counselling gives you a safe space dedicated to you, someone to listen without judgement, a place to express the feelings causing you pain. It’s a chance to work through those feelings, understand them, and to learn how to stop them controlling your life.

As your counsellor, I am committed to helping you find your own way in life. The expectations of others can make us feel like we are never good enough. I want to help you sift through what is important to you and what isn’t, to help you know yourself better, and learn to live more authentically.

You don’t need a diagnosed mental health condition to seek counselling (although you’re more than welcome if you do.) There are times when we all need some space to untangle the stresses of life, and to understand how we are really feeling.

People come to counselling with a number of issues, including relationships, stress, anxiety, bereavement, identity, loneliness and more. Everyone’s experiences are unique, but that doesn’t mean you are alone. There is no such thing as an insignificant problem.

If it matters to you, it’s significant. It’s worth sharing.

I will listen. I will join you in your feelings.
